About the Attorney
Erin was born and raised right here in North Texas. After graduating from Creekview High School in Carrollton, she went on to pursue her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas in Austin. While in college, she was very active in her sorority, Alpha Xi Delta; the Gear Up Program, mentoring high school students in East Austin; and the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Participation, where she was a mentor for the Speak Up Speak Out Program. She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in American Studies and a minor in Business Foundations.
After college, Erin moved back to Dallas to attend law school at SMU Dedman School of Law. While at SMU, Erin served as Counsel and Chief Counsel of the SMU Criminal Justice (Defense) Clinic and as a Student Bar Association Mentor for incoming first year law students. She also served as Staff Editor and Articles Editor for the SMU Law Review Association. She was Social Chair and Magister (President) for Phi Delta Phi, the law school's honors fraternity. Erin participated in the SMU Summer in Oxford Program and was a Dean's Scholarship Recipient. She graduated cum laude in May 2008, and became licensed to practice law in Texas after passing the bar exam in November of that same year.
After law school, Erin clerked at a Dallas based criminal defense firm and worked as staff attorney at Baron & Budd, P.C. before accepting a job as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in McLennan County, Texas. During her time as a prosecutor, she worked on a wide range of felony and misdemeanor matters including DWI, assault, drug cases, theft, credit card abuse, truancy, and traffic tickets among others. She also represented the State of Texas on behalf of CPS in a variety of different matters.
On February 1, 2011, Erin officially opened the doors to her own law practice. Her primary focus is on criminal defense work, although she handles family law and estate planning matters as well. She is a courtroom warrior who isn't afraid to take a case to trial. She works tirelessly to get the best results for her clients no matter what the circumstances.
